Wine, Restaurants & Coffee Shops
Hermanus consists of various coffee shops and restaurants that serve fresh seafood. Why not enjoy a few glasses of the locally produced wines – the wine tastings at Whalehaven, Hamilton Russel and Hemel-en-Aarde a must.
Worth Visiting
Once your wine provisions are in order, learn more about the art of beer making at the local brewery. Birkenhead brewery is a few kilometers outside of Hermanus, in Stanford, en-route to Gansbaai.
The Whale museum at the old harbour is also a great outing with the family. If lounging around on the beach is more your scene, you can visit one of the few Blue Flag beaches in South-Africa, right in the heart of Hermanus – called Grotto Beach.
